Just barely off the heels of her Short n’ Sweet Tour, Sabrina Carpenter is sending shockwaves through the internet again with the announcement of her new single “Manchild,” set to be released on June 5th at 8 pm EST. The single was announced following a short video that Carpenter posted on June 2nd to socials. The teaser had no sound and featured what appeared to be a stranded Sabrina Carpenter stuck on the side of the road in a California desert.
On the same day, a series of mysterious billboards popped up around the United States, encouraging the now confirmed theory that fans would be receiving a new single soon. One billboard reads “I swear they choose me, I’m not choosing them,” others read “Manchild,” “Hey Men!” and “amen.”

Not only does it seem that these billboards contain new song titles, but sharp-eyed fans also noticed that the logo differed from what Carpenter had previously been using – the most notable change being that the heart is now missing, a strong indicator that there will be no punches pulled in this new era.
The single will be dropped two days shy of Carpenter’s headlining set at Primavera Sound, and we would be remiss not to point out just how much this single rollout mirrors that of her iconic last single release, “Espresso.” While it’s a bit too early to tell for sure, we could very well be gearing up for another summer of hit music from Sabrina Carpenter.
