Patience Please release new single “Madelaine”

Date:

West London indie pop trio Patience Please released their latest single, “Madelaine,” on January 23 via Stray Music. The trio are a West London-based three-piece known for their bold, guitar-heavy sound paired with a sharp pop edge and vocals. Comprised of Ollie Palmer (vocals, guitar), Arthur Marriott (lead guitar), and Tommy Lane (drums), the band bonded through loud rehearsals, cranked amps, and an unwavering belief in their songs. The track is lifted from the band’s forthcoming debut EP, set for release in February 2026.

Born from a rare moment of openness, frontman Ollie Palmer shared insight into the track: “This song was written in a relaxed, open, and vulnerable state, where I felt free to spill my thoughts onto the page without judgement. It came from my first experience of heartbreak, a heady mix of confusion, hope and despair colliding at once. Those emotions naturally shaped the lyrics, leaving them simple and honest, allowing the music that followed to remain raw and uninhibited.””

Since forming, the band have built their reputation on the live circuit, performing across London and quickly expanding their audience. This momentum has led to sell-out shows at venues such as The Troubadour, Dingwalls 2, The Star of Shoreditch.

With only four singles released so far—“Wasting Time,” “Miracle,” and “Pretend”—Patience Please have surpassed 35,000 organic Spotify streams and received radio support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 2.

Most recently, the band advanced to the quarter-finals of the Isle of Wight Festival’s New Blood competition, where they’ll compete in a series of live showcases for the chance to perform on the Sky Presents Stage at Isle of Wight Festival 2026.

With an extensive UK tour already in the works for 2026, Patience Please continue to establish themselves as a rising force within the indie scene.
