Omar Apollo announces new album ‘God Said No’ and releases “Dispose Of Me”

Date:

Omar Apollo has announced the release of his second studio album, God Said No, set to drop on June 28 via Warner. The album follows his debut album, Ivory (2022), and features 14 tracks, all written during a three-month stay in London last year.

The title is meant to be empowering and inspirational: “I gave it my everything,” he said, “And God said ‘no.’”

God Said No was recorded in London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios with executive producer Teo Halm. The album includes collaborations with Mustafa and “The Last of Us” actor Pedro Pascal. Notably, Conan Gray also recorded his recent album, Found Heaven, at Abbey Road Studios.

Apollo unveiled the album alongside his new single “Dispose Of Me,” an alt-pop track about romance and the end of something remarkably special. He sings, “It don’t matter if it’s twenty-five days, it was real love / We got too much history / So don’t just dispose of me.”

Fans can anticipate an emotionally rich and sonically captivating experience with Apollo’s God Said No.
