sunbleached releases new single “Maybe I’ll Come Around”

By Henry Taylor

August 27, 2026

In new single “Maybe I’ll Come Around”, sunbleached harnesses the feelings of uncertainty and longing through their emotional, relatable, and dreamy songwriting.

The track is an inward exploration of the desire for something more from someone who is not able to fulfill an emotional need, regardless of how much you want to convince yourself that what they offer is enough for you. Traces of shoegaze, emo, and alternative rock are seeping from the veins of this track, reminiscent of acts such as Citizen and Title Fight.

This is the third single from the Brisbane quintet’s upcoming debut album, Stop Destroying the Things you Love, releasing on September 18th. Other previously released singles include “Slow Burn” and “Pain Chamber.”

Diving deeper into the track, vocalist Josh Baker explains,

“You know it’s a bad idea, but the little bits of attention keep pulling you back in, the whole thing is messed up and you recognize the pattern, but you ignore it anyway.”

You can listen to “Maybe I’ll Come Around” on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

Since forming in 2020, sunbleached has performed at a multitude of music festivals and shared stages with successful artists from across the world.
