mgk meets anime with his latest single “JJK,” teaming up with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba. With a rumored rap album on the horizon, fans are already speculating whether this is the sound they can expect in the near future. The single arrives alongside a music video directed by Sam Cahill, further bringing the vision to life, with artwork created by Maggiolina.
“JJK” arrives just in time for the closing chapter of the lost americana era with MGK Day 2026. The two-day event will take place in the singer’s hometown of Cleveland, OH, on August 7 and 8.
Friday, August 7, will kick off with a Best Trick Contest at Crooked River Skate Park beginning at 5 p.m. The main event takes place on Saturday, August 8, opening with a tailgate at Northcoast Yard at 12 p.m. A City Ride with Harley Davidson will follow at 3 p.m; participants should arrive at Southeast Harley by 2 p.m. Festival gates open at 3 p.m., the main stage begins at 6 p.m., and the evening will conclude with a fireworks show at dusk.
