June and Jared Henry collaborate on heartfelt new single “Get Too Close”

Date:

Singer-songwriter June has released her new single “Get Too Close” featuring Jared Henry. She dives headfirst into the chaos of catching feelings through vulnerable, honest lyrics like “I don’t wanna get too close, I don’t wanna lose control,” singing with the self-awareness that she may already be too far gone. The soundscapes are warm and intimate with June’s expressive vocals and the way her and Jared’s voices weave together.

It comes shortly after her Supernova EP, in which she proved her range and just how much ground she can cover as a writer and performer. Lyrically, the EP explored yearning, manifesting love, and new possibilities. With over 275,000 Spotify listeners, June has built her career independently, establishing herself as a unique writer and performer.

The new single “Get Too Close” builds throughout with layered guitars and soft synths. Her stacked vocals pair well with Jared Henry’s, bringing out the song’s softer side and giving it more warmth and depth.

“Get Too Close” steps away from some of her previous work, which leaned more into the EDM world. It swaps the club-ready energy for something more intimate and emotional.
