JOSEPH is “Ready To Let You Down” in catchy new single

Date:

Indie-pop duo JOSEPH, consisting of sisters Natalie and Meegan Closner, released their new single “Ready To Let You Down.” The emotionally charged song serves as an unapologetic anthem about the freedom of embracing imperfection in your life.

The song brings a fresh new wave of “punchiness” to their guitar-heavy and harmony-driven sound. They share more about the single’s release alongside the news of their upcoming album Closer to Happy, coming out January 30th, 2026. Natalie stated:

” READY TO let you down’ is about learning to stop abandoning myself in order to make other people comfortable. i’ve spent most of my life trying to earn love by being what others needed- but that only leD to burnout, depression, and disconnection. ‘ready to let you down’ is a turning point- it’s me reclaiming my energy and allowing myself to be imperfect, even if that means disappointing someone else.”

This album marks the first full-length album since the departure of their sister and co-founder Allison Closner, capturing a period of what was described as “profound upheaval, loss, and transformation.”

The duo is set to go on a Listening Party tour where small, intimate pop-up shows will be held in bookstores, cafes, record stores, galleries, etc. starting in October of this year. Tickets are on sale now.
