Antonio Larosa is on the “Right Side of Over You” on gritty new single

Date:

Earlier this year, Antonio Larosa contemplated his identity in “I Don’t Shine.” It was a vulnerable yet charming track, as the alt-country artist found that while he is getting older and losing his edge, he still has the right people around him. And when he feels down, he will always be able to turn to those people for support. The single built on the reflective tone that Antonio set with previous singles like “Hearts Don’t Break” and “Tried & True,” the latter of which also inspiring the name of Antonio’s upcoming ‘Tried & True Tour’ in April.

It makes sense that Antonio will perform these singles on the tour, but he also might perform “Right Side of Over You,” which is his newest single. Here, he owns up to the fact that he is not perfect, and maybe he will never be that way. Accompanied by a twangy alt-country sound that features a mix of rockabilly and dance, Antonio sings, “On the wrong side of the bottle right now / But the right side of over you,” accepting that things will never be the same. Still, there is a celebratory spirit to the track, an infectious energy that unfolds in real time as the single was recorded live with the full band playing together.

Telling us more about “Right Side of Over You,” Antonio explains,

“I love songs where the guy isn’t exactly the hero. He knows he’s made some bad calls and spent plenty of nights on the wrong side of things. But at the same time, that relationship was never doing him any favors either. It’s that messy middle where you can finally laugh at your own mistakes and keep moving forward. There’s definitely a bit of a smirk in this one. We cut it live because I wanted it to feel loose and real, like a band tearing it up in a bar after midnight”

You can listen to “Right Side of Over You” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
