Antonio Larosa celebrates a long-lasting relationship on “Tried & True”

Date:

When you listen to country-rock artist Antonio Larosa, you feel transported to the past but firmly grounded in the present. It might sound odd, but that’s the magic of Antonio’s artistry. You can hear elements of his inspirations play out in his songs, from the storytelling of Johnny Cash to the soul of BB King. At the same time, Antonio incorporates his own emotions and musicianship, whether he’s tapping into heartfelt lyrics or playing a dynamic guitar line. With songs on SiriusXM, coverage on Spotify and Amazon Music, and a newly earned 2025 Roots Artist of the Year award, Antonio is clearly carving out his own path as a musician and performer. His work is “Tried & True,” if you will, which is something that he mentions on his latest single.

With “Tried & True,” Antonio gets into the dynamics of staying together with someone despite the odds. With rich and soulful vocals, Antonio sings, “I can still see your face when I said we’d leave it all behind / I said baby we need nothing, got all the love we need to survive,” before concluding, “Tried and true / We made it through / I’m still in love with you.” Listeners will feel immersed in a rockabilly world, complete with jaunty piano, steady guitar, and enlivening melodies. The energy is warm and electric throughout, which makes this a sweet and celebratory anthem for those who relate to the power of true love.

About “Tried & True,” Antonio shares,

“It was inspired by my relationship with my wife—the idea of being with someone who’s seen every side of you and still chooses you every day. The title actually came from a power tool commercial, which made me laugh at first, but the phrase stuck with me. It felt like the perfect way to describe something that lasts because it’s built right and been tested over time.”
