With an eclectic combination of acoustic and electronic elements, Sawyer utilizes classic chord progressions to narrate the thoughts of someone ruminating on how they were the undoing catalyst in a relationship. Hyperpop and glitchcore elements give life and flavor to this track.
Sawyer utilizes the extent of his voice by literally screaming throughout the track, providing it a sense of desperation and heart. Though the songwriter knows that the end of the relationship is on them, they are bitter nonetheless.
The chorus is as anthemic as one could want and is reminiscent of “Hollywood Baby” by 100 gecs in its structure. The shining moment in this song is when we detour out of the pop-punkisms and land in a crater of minimalism, surrounded by grating textures.
