My Chemical Romance are scheduled to be headliners for Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival, and Louder Than Life in 2026. The news was announced on Friday, September 19 by Danny Wimmer Presents at Louder Than Life, which is currently taking place this weekend in Louisville, Kentucky.
Danny Wimmer Presents is a music production and promotion company that is responsible for a number of different music festivals, including Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Sonic Temple, Welcome to Rockville, and more.
A video announcing My Chemical Romance as next year’s festival headliners was played at the Louder Than Life Main Stage, with the announcer telling the crowd, “We’ve got good news for you America, the Black Parade is back in action.” Following this, the video showed a line of text reading, “Your 2026 headliner: My Chemical Romance,” alongside the logos for Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life.
After the video played, the University of Louisville Cardinal Marching Band performed My Chemical Romance’s hit song “Welcome To The Black Parade” on the Main Stage.
Full lineups for all three festivals have yet to be announced, but 2026 dates for Welcome to Rockville (May 7 — May 10) and Sonic Temple (May 14 — May 17) have been announced, and passes are available now. Dates for next year’s Louder Than Life have not yet been shared.
My Chemical Romance are soon to wrap up their Long Live The Black Parade 2025 stadium tour throughout North America on September 20, but the band has been dropping teasers about potentially adding another leg to the tour in 2026. After billboards and street stencils of the band’s logo started popping up in select cities across the U.S., many fans speculate that the group might soon announce a summer 2026 run. The latest news of their upcoming festival headlining slots only add fuel to this fire.
