mgk and the Jonas Brothers drop the remix we never knew we needed

Date:

On May 23, mgk dropped what some would call the song of the summer with his hit single “cliché.” He quickly captured his fans’ attention with its early 2000s nostalgic vibe, setting the tone for a memorable rollout for his latest LP, lost americana. Since then, mgk has continued the momentum with an addictive music video featuring a dance routine that went viral on TikTok. Fans everywhere accepted the challenge and showed off the dance, furthering the reach of the song. Because of the songs success, he even released “cliché (sad version)” a month later.

Last month, an unexpected, but thrilling moment happened when the Jonas Brothers brought mgk out during one of their stops on the JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour. The iconic moment brought together two different fanbases in a way that felt fresh and organic. As a Jonatic and a devoted member of EST, I can honestly say this might be my favorite collaboration so far. The “cliché” remix featuring the Jonas Brothers is out now.

mgk has just kicked off the lost americana tour, which will run well into 2026, while the Jonas Brothers are closing out the tail end of their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour. Tickets are on sale at machinegunkelly.com and/or jonasbrothers.com.
