Madison Margot Pens a Poignantly Imaginative Breakup Anthem on “Fun”

Date:

Madison Margot is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter changing the demographic of pop as we know it with introspective lyrics and haunting melodies. Her new single “Fun” is written about rekindling an old spark with the one that got away. She brings the hypotheticals of heartbreak to life and lets her imagination run wild with passion. “Fun” is an effervescent pop reverie that muses on our tendency to cling to the ones we love.

“Fun” comes alive with euphoric vocal flurries, reeling riffs, and sauntering percussion. Margot stuns as a vocalist who comes across as sure of herself with the confidence of an icon. The music video for the single leans into her identity as an Angeleno as she dances under city lights and spirals in the afterglow of a bedroom. “Fun” captures the duality of a breakup and our nature to backslide when face to face with a former flame.

Revealing more on her track, Margot confides, “I wrote it about wanting just one more night with an old love, where you forget what went wrong and just relive the beauty and magic. It’s a song to dance around your room in the midst of heartbreak and healing. It’s a song for anyone who’s prone to romanticizing the past.”

Madison Margot is an artist committed to elevating other women. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Gender and Women’s Studies which greatly informs her creative process. Margot only works with female directors. “Fun” is her latest release and proves to be the perfect addition to your summer soundtrack.
