Louie Rubio doesn’t want to fall in love “Again”

Date:

Louie Rubio

Louie Rubio treats listeners to a beautiful new single featuring suave instrumentals and groovy vocals. “Again” will make you feel like THAT girl once you give it a listen.

As the song begins, listeners can immediately hear Rubio’s layered vocals over a strong guitar pattern that sounds inspired by Tame Impala and Thundercat. “Again” layers bass guitar, chill beats and repetitive lyrics, making it perfect for a summer day by the pool or at the beach. Rubio makes his artistry known in the single by casually creating the perfect song for a curated warm weather playlist.

It could be argued that Rubio makes songs representing predominately indie pop, but “Again” also introduces a certain smoothness that is representative of R&B. The single sounds similar to tracks by artists like Timbaland or Pharrell because of the rhythm and seductiveness Rubio implements into the song.

The emotional allure within the single is no mistake. “Again” is about an on-again off-again relationship where both parties cyclically fall in love with the other, again and again. Rubio’s chorus puts thought to word as he sings, “How could we fall in love again? / Did we just fall in love again? / How could we fall in love again? / Did we just fall in love?”.
