Lonely Gimmick opens up on “Roll Me Over”

Date:

Lonely Gimmick has returned with “Roll Me Over,” the final single before the release of their debut EP, Stay At Home To Sleep In. LG is an anonymous musician whose work is self-recorded and self-produced. The multi-instrumentalist crafts a festival-ready signature sound inspired by various genres, including indie-rock, psych-rock, dream-pop, and hip-hop. If your favorite part of a music festival is the mid-afternoon set under the sun, and you enjoy artists like King Krule and Tash Sultana, you’re going to love LG’s “Roll Me Over.”

Lonely Gimmick is a storyteller – “Roll Me Over” is actually the second part of a musical trilogy, preceded by the 2022 single “Grumpy Days” and followed by the upcoming EP’s title track, “Stay At Home To Sleep In.” The three songs explore the beginning, middle, and end of a relationship. Throughout “Roll Me Over,” LG opens up about a painful breakup, though they attempt to remain hopeful and reassure themselves that “Everything will be alright.”
