Nobody freak out, but Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks are talking again. According to an article in Rolling Stone, the duo, who have famously been estranged for years, are friends again.
The two hadn’t interacted publicly since the January 2023 memorial for fellow Fleetwood Mac band member, Christine McVie. Prior to that, the band had been in a contentious legal battle following the removal of Buckingham from the band in 2019.
However, Buckingham mentioned that the reissue of the 1973 album Buckingham Nicks drew the pair back together.
The band is also working on a documentary, to be released sometime next year, which Buckingham noted “has been a very circular healing process for all of us.” In an August 6 interview with E! News he stated, “Stevie and I talk all the time now.”
While he doesn’t want to speculate if this will lead to something further down the line, he did tease that “next year should be a pretty interesting year, because I think quite a few things will reveal themselves.”
Next year is the 50th anniversary of Fleetwood Mac’s iconic 1977 LP Rumors.
