Lewis Capaldi has courageously returned to music with his latest single “Survive.” In honor of his return, Capaldi has partnered with BetterHelp, an online therapy platform, to donate 734,000 hours of free online therapy.
“Therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again. I don’t think I’ll ever stop going to therapy after the impact it’s had on my life over the past two years.
When an artist is open and honest about their personal struggles with mental health, it validates the struggles millions face and helps to dismantle the stigma surrounding therapy. Capaldi reminds us all that it’s okay to seek help. He has become a voice for those battling anxiety, depression, and Tourette’s syndrome by openly speaking about the impact it’s had on his career and personal life. Capaldi has donated 1,000 hours of therapy for each day he stepped away from the stage.
