Lemonade Baby teases future album with new single “Yeah Yeah Yeah (Lifestyle)”

Date:

Australian artist Lemonade Baby introduces his newest single “Yeah Yeah Yeah (Lifestyle),” the third single of 2024 and a little taste of what’s to come on his upcoming album. The indie pop artist has successfully infused your classic pop sound with a fun electro dance beat. The track follows previous releases “Airbnb” and “Seeing Double.” The release seems intentional and is exciting to the audience as they can see the progression of the singles that have been coming out in anticipation of a future project.

The song immediately opens with a bright trance-like melody. The percussion in the track gives a softer EDM feel, almost bordering house music. The drums add depth within the melody as there are higher notes within the piano that overall give it a nice touch. The waves of sound progressing from low to high also invite the listener to enjoy the journey within the song. His tonal quality is where the hints of indie are; there’s a very similar tone of voice to an artist in the indie pop genre by the name of Role Model.

Lyrically, the track takes a step back, keeping a simpler lyrical approach. The repetitive lyrics allow you to take in the beats and enjoy the musical composition more than anything. The song repeats “I’m caught in this lifestyle / I just need to move it / just wanna prove it.” The lyrics, while simpler, are arguably adding to the fun nature of the song. They’re easy to remember and sing along to and are not distracting.

Overall, for fans of the indie pop genre this is bound to be a favorite as it takes what most people love within indie music and switches it up with an electro/house melody.
