2026 is gearing up to become an eventful year for Korean boy-band, NCT–short for Neo Culture Technology. Debuting in 2016 under SM Entertainment, this group houses a large number of members–24 in total–all divided into a multitude of subunits: NCT 127 (since 2016), NCT U (since 2016), NCT Dream (since 2016), WayV (Chinese-exclusive since 2019), NCT DoJaeJung (trio since 2023), and NCT Wish (since 2023).
The members currently include leader Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, Chenle, Jisung, Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya. In the most recent news, members Mark and Ten have both ended their contracts with SM Entertainments, though Ten will continue his activities with NCT and WayV, Mark has concluded his contract entirely as of April 3rd.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary project, each subunit will be entering a new era, showing fans and the world what comes next in their creative process. With the reveal of their newest slogan: “EVERYTHING, ALL AT ONCE, NEO;” a roadmap of each group project was announced to fans as well on a specialized website.
The roadmap website lays out the following:
- NCT 127 will be releasing a new album before setting off on tour in Q3 of the year
- NCT Dream will be hosting a fan meeting in Q3, with a new album in Q4 of the year
- WayV is set to return with a new album and tour in Q3
- NCT WISH will release its first full-length album on April 20th, following a new Japanese single in Q3, and a new album in Q4.
In addition to these exciting announcements of tours and new music, pop-up store events will also be held to celebrate such milestones of achievements with fans! The first being the ‘POP UP: NEO GROUND’ occurring May 15th-23rd, and the ‘EXHIBITION: NEO DIMENSION’ exhibition scheduled in the third quarter of this year.
