JD & the RetroRyders debuts rock n’ roll nostalgia on “I Belong With You”

Date:

Meet JD & the RetroRyders, the Huntington Beach-based sextet serving up a fresh take on classic rock. With a sound that’s a sonic cocktail of Aerosmith, the Beatles, and Jefferson Airplane, the band is all about “don’t bore us, get to the chorus” rock ‘n’ roll. Led by Joe “JD” DeMeo, a New York native who’s been rocking since he was 12, the band channels the spirit of the ’60s and ’70s while delivering modern A-side smashes.

“We sound like the older bands because we’ve lived this music—it’s in our DNA,” RetroRyder founder, lead singer and songwriter, co-producer, and rhythm guitarist Joe “JD” DeMeo says.

They’re not just a studio band; these guys bring the house down live. With gigs at iconic venues like The Mint and the House of Blues, and airplay on Rodney Bingenheimer’s XM Radio show, they’re making waves in the rock scene. Inspired by the late Tom Petty, JD & the RetroRyders are on a mission to uplift spirits and connect with audiences, one anthemic hook at a time. Keep an eye out as they set their sights on the festival circuit and continue to release top-tier rock ‘n’ roll.

Their newest release “I Belong With You” may feel familiar if you watched ‘Friends’ back in the day? Or, perhaps you’re still binge-watching. This track is chock-full of infectious melodies, harmonies, and just plain contagious fun this one’s got  “Friends’ vibes all over it.
