At just 20 years old, Colorado-born singer-songwriter Jaidyn Hurst continues carving out a space for herself in the introspective world of adult contemporary and alt-pop with her latest single, “Stranger to Me.”
A song Hurst started writing in June of last year, “Stranger to Me” feels like sitting in the quiet space between memory and distance. The song explores the familiar ache of watching someone shift emotionally while remaining physically present, capturing the confusion of recognizing someone you once knew but can no longer reach.
On the track, Hurst shares to her social media:
“I started writing this song June 2025… there is a small clip of what it originally sounded like (spoiler alert!!! it doesn’t sound like that anymore)!! this song means a lot to me. it’s a story of getting older, of letting go, of hypothesizing about seeing people you used to know. I hope you love it as much as I do ❤️💕🫶”
With “Stranger to Me,” Hurst continues positioning herself as a voice for listeners navigating the complicated beauty of relationships that change over time.
