Isabella&Sebastian release new single “Oxygen”

Date:

With their new single “Oxygen,” Memphis-based duo Isabella&Sebastian deliver a glowing slice of synthpop that feels like a breath of fresh air—and the perfect track to welcome summer. Opening with a playful, almost video game-like pop-disco beat, the song instantly lifts the listener into a carefree groove. It’s a follow-up to their earlier single “Helium,” but “Oxygen” stands confidently on its own as a love song full of fun, sparkle, and emotion.

The production is clean and slick, with funky guitars layered under smooth, radiant vocals. Isabella’s voice is effortlessly expressive—both dreamy and grounded. Her line, “I’m above the stars, and I can’t go back / I’m a fool for you / you don’t know I’m lacking oxygen” captures that floaty, overwhelmed feeling of falling hard for someone. It’s simple, but hits emotionally in all the right ways. Sebastian’s multi-instrumental talent shines through with the track’s polished yet organic feel. The duo’s chemistry is evident, balancing a retro sound with a modern pop edge.

As part of their upcoming debut album Is Anybody Listening?, “Oxygen” gives us a peek into the vibrant world Isabella&Sebastian are creating—one full of color, movement, and heart. It’s a track made to be played on repeat, whether you’re cruising with the windows down or dancing alone in your room.
