If Not For Me has returned with their intense new single “Retrograde” available now via Thriller Records. The explosive track is the Harrisburg, PA metalcore group’s first new release since last year’s “Say It To My Face.”
“Retrograde” is a vigorous effort that blurs the lines between heartbreak and hope. With a blend of powerful breakdowns and heartfelt lyricism, If Not For Me unleashes a cutthroat, dynamic energy that’s as emotional as it is catchy. The track stands as a relatable ode to strength and resilience in the wake of loss. Speaking on the new single, vocalist Patrick Glover shares,
“I wrote ‘Retrograde’ about losing a loved one far too soon and the immeasurable grief that follows. We often feel like we would do anything it takes to just go back to how things were before they were gone, but we know it can never be that simple. The only solace for me is that maybe one day I’ll get to see them again, in a different place where the hurt never existed.”
If Not For Me is set to perform at Ceremony Festival in Nashville, TN on November 8th before heading on the road with Memphis May Fire across the United States shortly after. The group will then close out the year with a hometown Christmas show opening for From Ashes To New. Tickets and information for all of If Not For Me’s upcoming shows can be found here.
