American indie pop duo Hovvdy announce new EP, Live At Julie’s, out Nov. 22 on Arts & Crafts. The EP will feature alternate reimaginings of songs from their acclaimed self-titled double album, Hovvdy, which was released in April. The pair shared “Bubba (Julie’s Version),” a stripped-back version of album highlight, which focused on restraint and release.
Of the release, the Texas duo say, “Sonically this is the most vulnerable we’ve ever been. When we make records, we’re always trying to craft this hyper-layered, expansive world; and as much as we love that approach, it’s easy to get lost in it. With ‘Live at Julie’s’ we wanted to peel everything back — just sit down and play the songs together.”
The band recently concluded a full US tour supporting beabadoobee, which took place in September, following the announcement of her latest album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, which was released on Aug. 16. In 2025, they will embark on a headline run last month that will take place March through May. You can find more information and buy your tickets here.
