girlfriends has sparked their pop-punk era with their newest single “Garbage.” This song is a blend of the old-school style and pop-punk energy that girlfriends has been known and loved for since making their debut in 2020.
“Garbage” takes us back to the early 2000s while also giving listeners a more modern sound. The song overflows with bold lyrics, explosive energy and choruses made for festivals, and follows their single “West Coast” which was a tribute to their SoCal roots.
The duo is set to release their newest album, There Goes The Neighborhood, on October 24th. The album will be 15 tracks filled with pop-punk sounds and impactful lyrics, giving it a feeling of nostalgia. Travis Mills and Nick Gross use their new project to deliver a message about the chaos and resilience present in modern-day life. The album is produced by John Feldman. Pre-save for the album is available here.
Mills and Gross have had a breakout year for the books. They went on an arena tour with Avril Lavigne and performed at the long-awaited revival of Vans Warped Tour in D.C. and Long Beach, and they’ll be performing at the Orlando date later this year. The duo has their sights set on a mini tour this upcoming fall.
This newest era of girlfriends has made it possible for this to be the most impactful chapter in their story so far.
