Five Finger Death Punch have announced that they plan to celebrate 20 years of the band with the release of Best Of – Volume 1, a collection of re-recorded versions of their most iconic songs. This decision was also made as a way for the band to reclaim their work after the original recordings were sold without the band’s knowledge. Zoltan Bathory, founding guitarist says,
“We would have loved to have a shot at reclaiming our masters, or at least to be involved in the transaction but we found out after the fact. Surprised, but not surprised. These kinds of behind closed doors deals have become far too common in the music industry.”
Along with the announcement of the album, the band has released a new single — a re-recorded and reimagined version of fan favorite track “I Refuse” featuring Maria Brink of In This Moment.
The band had already planned to celebrate their 20th anniversary and decided this was the chance to make into something more positive. Best Of – Volume 1 will be available across all streaming platforms on July 18th, 2025. It’s available for pre-order here.
