Rock artist elijah’s newest track “SKIN,” is composed by elijah and Luke Healy and produced by elijah. The song premiered on SiriusXM Octane last week, dives deep into the pain, betrayal, and the suffocating weight of a toxic relationship. With its heavy instrumentals, elijah paints a picture of someone suffocating under the weight of a destructive relationship, unable to escape even after the physical presence of the other person is gone.
The song opens with self-doubt and internal turmoil, “Is it the end or am I overthinkin’ again? / I can feel my blood running thin, I can’t pretend now / I’m losing my breath, hole in my chest now” showcasing the desperate and suffocating tone from the beginning.
