Olivia Rodrigo has released her highly-anticipated new single, “deju vu” from her upcoming debut album – out May 21. The video is currently ranked #1 on YouTube’s Trending page.
Rodrigo’s fame came from her record-breaking single “drivers license,” which debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and maintained that spot for 8 consecutive weeks! Within the first week alone “drivers license” was played more than 107M times globally. The song since release has broken records on Spotify, Global Amazon Music, and Billboard Global 200!
“The concept of deja vu has always fascinated me and I thought it would be cool to use it in a song around the complex feelings after a relationship ends,” says Rodrigo. “I started writing and recording ‘deja vu’ last fall and had so much fun creating the different melodies and sonic textures that you hear throughout.”
