DNJNBBY Dances the Pain Away On Latest Single, “see you cry”

Date:

While DNJNBBY was raised as a musician, she decided to focus more on her work in 2020. In 2023, she released her debut single “Lobotomize Me” along with two other tracks, and she is looking to gain more momentum in 2024. She wants to empower women and the LGBTQ+ community as well as destigmatize mental health conditions. In her latest single “see you cry”, DNJNBBY looks to find escape from pain caused by the end of a relationship.

“see you cry” explores heartbreak and unrequited love through irresistible dance beats and vulnerable lyrics. She hopes that listeners who’ve faced challenges such as absence and avoidance in relationships can find validation through this track. “see you cry” incorporates elements similar to artists such as Kim Petras, Tinashe, and PinkPantheress to create a danceable breakup anthem. “see you cry” creates a club-like atmosphere through its rich synth layers and techno rhythms, providing a space for listeners to express themselves through dance.

DNJNBBY shares the inspiration behind “see you cry:”

“I wrote this about my breakup, and in a way, it was the sense of closure I never got from my ex. I had to give myself that closure because I knew he was never going to give it to me.”
