Crewless remains single with “Table for One”

Date:

For Fans of: The Hives, The Strokes, The Ting Tings, Empire Of The Sun

Salt Lake City based fashionista band Crewless drops “Table for One” today and keeps us all on our tippiest of toes. The band fills out their sound with three vocalists – DJ Jefe (vocals), DJ Violet Helm (vocals/attitude), Makenna Farre (vocals/moves) and Masetre G bringing it all together with guitar. Crewless describes themselves as

“harmony, broccoli sonic wall of energy rising star, punk guitar the bot is on the table”

“Table for One” is filled with fuzzy guitar that reminds us of The Strokes, a melody to rival The Sounds, and has the energy of a naked rooftop dance party playlist. According to the band, this version is meant for singing in the car while “Table for One (Plus None)” is a house version made for the club. Both were produced by Nate Pyfer (Kaskade, Mr. Tape, Sego) who specializes in both indie and house music. Both tracks are absolute bangers and should be added to various mood playlists.

The song delves into the ultimate sh!t show that is dating in 2023 and what it’s like to be single navigating the dating world. “Fuzzy, gritty and kinda uncomfortable,” is how the band describes their experience. They translate this through lyrics “First date at the lost and found, Carrousel elimination round.

The band has an upcoming show December 19 in Salt Lake City with Staycation and Sidney Ryan at Kilby Court.
