Chevy Beaulieu wonders how he got his dream girl on “Look at Me”

Date:

When country artist Chevy Beaulieu made his 604 Records debut earlier this year, it was obvious that he was delivering the first of many singles. In other words, Chevy would be sticking around—not fading into the background any time soon. His debut single, “If We Want To,” cracked the Top 30 on Canadian country radio and became the “New Country Trending Track” for Stingray Music. His follow-up single “Give a Damn” showcased more of Chevy’s rock side, leaning into some of the rock and roll grooves we heard on “If We Want To.” For his third single, Chevy is incorporating a bit of pop playfulness into his dynamic country sound, keeping things fresh and exciting for his growing fanbase.

On “Look at Me,” Chevy is full of wonder as he tries to figure out how he got his dream girl. Written by some of country’s most in-demand writers like HARDY, Tyler Hubbard, Jordan Schmidt, and Hunter Phelps, the track is modest, kind, and full of love as Chevy sings about his feelings toward this girl. Over the bright, pop-enriched melodies, he sings, “There’s only one good explanation / Yeah, opposites attract” and “I’m looking at the finest thing this side of the moon / And I just can’t help asking myself what I did to get a girl like you.” He knows that he is not the best guy out there, and he assumes that she could do a lot better, so he takes this moment to show how grateful he is to have her in his life.

About “Look at Me,” Chevy explains,

“‘Look at Me’ is an upbeat song about the unbelievability that someone so special, so wonderful, and so beautiful would love you the way they do, despite your flaws. It’s about being grateful for your person. To be able to bring this message to life on a song written by some of Nashville’s best is an opportunity I don’t take lightly.”

You can listen to “Look at Me” on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and SoundCloud.
