Chelsea Cutler kicks off new era with the release of “BAD”

Date:

Chelsea Cutler has kicked off a new era with the release of her new single, “BAD.” The new pop track marks her first solo single in over two years and a sonic shift for the singer-songwriter, known for her acoustic ballads such as “you were good to me” and “this is how you fall in love” with Jeremy Zucker.
“BAD” captures Cutler living life to the fullest in her newfound freedom as a single person. It showcases her songwriting in a new light, as she confesses her interest in someone new. In the chorus, she sings, “Baby I’m in love with / How you move your body / I can’t get enough and / I just wanna have you / Is that bad?”
Cutler opened up about how her breakup inspired her new music, saying:
“I had just gotten out of a serious relationship. I’d never really been single in my twenties, which is different from how a lot of people know me through my music. Most of my previous work came from the perspective of being in a long-term relationship. This time, I was experiencing life as a 27-year-old who’s single. Sonically, ‘BAD’ is very catchy and easily digestible – but it’s also a different side of me, and I love it.”
To celebrate the new release, Cutler launched her Substack, where she will be directly sharing news and updates with her fans. Check out her Substack here.
