Carter Rubin releases his latest lament, “Time Machine”

Date:

You may recognize Carter Rubin’s arresting vocals from his time on NBC’s The Voice. He came out as the winner on Season 19 of the hit TV show and since then has been releasing ballads reminiscent of songs you may hear in the Shawn Mendes catalogue.

Rubin’s new single, “time machine,” is the first of 12 singles, the rest of which are set to be released in the near future. At only 17 years old, the artist’s vocal range and overall delivery display a maturity far beyond his years. His tone leaps between mournful to pop-star-falsetto within the span of seconds, perfectly expressing the song’s message of lament.
