CAPYAC want you to have a “GOODTIME” on new single

Date:

Known for their spectacular productions both on and off the stage, CAPYAC have been blurring the lines between music, art, fashion, and theater since they made their debut in 2016.  Their sleek sound and attention to detail make them innovators in the dance music scene, creating their own “surrealist musical wave” in the process.  Their 2021 sophomore album, CAPYAC FOREVER, was well-received by tastemakers such as SPIN, PopMatters, and Wonderland, upholding the duo’s legacy.  As we head into the summer, CAPYAC return with their first release since the album’s release with “GOODTIME.”

Containing a nu-disco groove with funk-infused beats, “GOODTIME” very much embodies its title.  If the music does not move you, then the lyrics just might, as CAPYAC encourage us to “move around” and “smile upside-down.”  Just as things are heating up, however, CAPYAC sing, “Uh oh / There’s water on the dance floor,” but tell us to “try to have a good time” anyway.  You can check it out below.

About the single, CAPYAC share,

“There’s not much to it.  It’s a song about having fun with your friends on a slippery dance floor.  We were actually saving it for an upcoming album until we realized we had accidentally written the Song of the Summer 2022.  Our friends told us we had to put it out as soon as possible.”

You can listen to “GOODTIME” on platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.
