blackbear is back: ‘analogue dream’ out April 2026

Date:

Following a three year hiatus from solo projects, blackbear has officially announced his highly anticipated seventh studio album, analogue dream, set for release on Apr. 1, 2026. The exciting announcement arrived the same day he dropped his new single “britney in 07,” which immediately sparked reactions from fans online.

analogue dream will be his first solo project since the release of in loving memory in 2022. While he collaborated with Mike Posner for mansionz 2 in 2023, he hasn’t put out a solo album in nearly four years, and instead has been focusing on remixes and features.

blackbear has posted that analogue dream is his best album to date, and he’ll be making a return to his R&B roots, that classic blackbear sound that fans have been hoping for. He also revealed in his Spotify bio that analogue dream will most likely be his final full-length album, making this one even more special.

In a post to fans, bear reflected on how special making music is to him, writing, “hope my music helps u smile through the pain of the human condition.. or makes u even more sad if ur down bad & cathartic masochism is what your looking for.. im guilty of this personally.. i make music not just because i love my fans and i want to give in this world/life rather than take, i’ve also gathered from very young age its what i suck at the least and gives me a sense of purpose.. but i know i still be suckin sometimes and im sorry for that 🙂 u all deserve a really good album its been a minute”

Listen to “britney in 07” now on all streaming platforms.
