With vocals like Olivia Rodrigo and lyrics like Gracie Abrams, Huynh’s steady yet passionate voice seamlessly conveys the longing and regret of leaving a relationship, even if it was for the best.
“you miss it, too” transports listeners to Huynh’s daily point of view, trying navigate a new normal without the person she wants to be with. Moving forward from a relationship proves to have difficulties when confusing, unresolved feelings are still involved. Elaborating on this concept, Huynh says:
“It feels really vulnerable and reflective of what it’s like to be confused about a relationship and about how you feel towards a person in that context.”
