Earlier Thursday, April 2, Olivia Rodrigo announced the title and cover of her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
“My third album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is out June 12th,” Rodrigo posted on her online newsletter. “No matter how hard I try to write love songs they always come out laced with a little melancholy. I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
Rodrigo is known for the Grammy Award-winning single “driver’s license” and her singles “vampire” and “get him back.” The new album marks her third studio album, following GUTS (2023) and her Grammy Award-winning debut album, SOUR (2021). Producer Dan Nigro also returned for the forthcoming project, after having helped produce Rodrigo’s first two albums.
