On February 5, Canadian rock heroes Arkells announced their 11th studio album, Between Us, expected to release on April 17 via Universal Music Canada and Virgin Music Group.
The Hamilton-grown quintet gave fans a taste of the forthcoming album, releasing the third single “Next Summer” on the same day as the announcement, alongside a whimsical music video.
Between Us was recorded and produced with Grammy Award winner John Congleton (Death Cab For Cutie, Wallows, St. Vincent) in Los Angeles. Featuring Portugal. The Man, Grouplove, and Poolside, Between Us appears to hold true to Arkells’ reputation for danceable, genre-blending anthemic rock with the power to rattle a stadium and soundtrack the most memorable nights of your life.

They’ve earned this title again and again, becoming Hamilton legends by simply making great music and staying true their roots. Arkells returns to their motherland every handful of years to celebrate Hamilton, working alongside community partners to host The Rally, creating a weekend of fun for the entire city.
After 20 successful years together, Arkells have jam-packed their spring. A quick jaunt through Europe and the UK will kick off on March 12 in Berlin and wrap up on March 20 in London. Tickets are available here.
The band has also announced a run of special Between Us release shows in the US later in the spring. Tickets and pre-sale signups are available here.
