You Me At Six‘s Back Again Tour in support of their latest album, VI, hit Toronto last Tuesday night. Machineheart and DREAMERS are also on the tour as support.

Machineheart was first to hit the stage. Although the band has a much different sound than You Me At Six, the Machineheart’s electro-pop beats and singer Stevie Scott’s gorgeous, soaring vocals still captured the audience. The band played a number of songs off their latest album, People Change, which they explained was partially recorded in Kingston, Ontario – just a couple hours away from Toronto:

Next up was alt-rockers DREAMERS, who played a great transition from the airy-electronic pop of Machineheart into the pop-punk rock of You Me At Six. The band played a range of tracks off their debut album and several EPs, as well as the first single, “Die Happy”, off their upcoming album. Although they already had a number of fans in the audience, they certainly won over the rest of the crowd by the end of their set:

Finally, You Me At Six hit the stage with “Fast Forward”, met with fans screaming the lyrics right back at them. The band worked through the set playing tracks off of 4 of their 5 studio albums, appealing to long-time and new fans alike. The band left the stage after “Bite My Tongue” before returning for a four-song encore. For the final song, “Underdog”, singer Josh Franceschi asked the audience to squeeze in before he jumped for a crowd surf:
