Marina dazzles Toronto with whimsical visuals and pop brilliance

On Thursday, September 18th, Welsh singer-songwriter Marina returned to Toronto for a mesmerizing evening at History. Opening with “PRINCESS OF POWER,” “Are You Satisfied?,” and “CUPID’S GIRL,” the stage came alive with whimsical visuals drenched in purples and blues, perfectly setting the tone for each song.

Marina moved effortlessly through a setlist that blended fan favourites with newer hits, her voice as strong as ever. “It’s been beautiful to see old fans and new fans…It’s such a privilege with so many people all over the world” she told the crowd, earning many cheers from fans.

During “Cuntissimo,” when Marina turned the stage into a playful beauty pageant. She awarded a purple sash to the best costume, and ultimately crowned a fan dressed in a Cuntissimo-themed outfit. The moment was cheeky, fun, and sweet and a true reminder of how much Marina truly values and connects with her fans.

Closing with “I <3 YOU,” Marina’s show also carried a meaningful impact beyond just music. She announced that 10% of her sales would be donated towards LGBTQ+ centres and initiatives supporting Palestine. With a mix of bold pop, theatricality, and heartfelt moments, Marina’s performance at History was an unforgettable and truly magical evening that will surely leave fans feeling inspired.
