A few weeks ago, I got to see California alternative rock band Night Riots at the Masquerade in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there for openers Courtship and Silent Rival, but make sure to check them out!
Starting with “Nothing Personal”, the band opened with a bang. At that point, I knew the show was going to be good. Lead singer Travis Hawley had so much energy and stage presence, which made the set even more fun. The band focused their set on songs from their most recent album “Love Gloom”, but played songs from both albums, and even a cover of Oasis’ “Wonderwall”.
The most interesting part of the night, however, was the mid-set drum solo where the entire band walked onto the stage wearing skeleton masks outlined with neon. Although I was slightly confused by the break, it was a fun twist to the night.
After the show, the band stayed and met fans. Seeing Night Riots was such a great experience, and I’d completely recommend their show to anyone who likes live music. The crowd wasn’t too aggressive or rowdy, and the band is seriously talented! Look out for Night Riots, as they’ll definitely become a big name in alternative rock!
