Atlanta, GA indie-folk singer Faye Webster sold out the Foundry last week in Philadelphia in support of her latest album I Know I’m Funny haha. With this date being one of the last ones of this leg of the tour that’s taken her all over the east coast, the crowd held eager anticipation for her set to begin and be transported into the world of the hazy singer-songwriter. Webster’s voice was in impeccable form, with the bright shine of her sound cutting through the dark night with her backing band (including one incredibly talented pedal steel guitar player) providing a tightly-wound foundation for her to build her songs upon. With this tour winding down and more tour dates for 2022 being announced recently, her set is one that you simply shouldn’t miss in the mid-sized theatres that she’s playing — she’s one of indie’s brightest stars, and now’s the time to see her before she’s headlining much bigger rooms down the road.
