Church of the Cosmic Skull Left Nashville in Cold Sweats

Date:

On April 10, 2023 Nottingham UK band, Church of the Cosmic Skull visited the iconic Basement East venue in Nashville, Tennessee. Opening bands for this tour were Valley of the Sun and Lord Buffalo, both of which provided a unique opening experience.  Church for the Cosmic Skull is a seven piece band formed in 2016 who has quickly gained a very unique following. Although this was not a sold out show, the energy was like no other. Fans dressed in all white gathered around the stage in awe ready for what the night had in store. As the lights dimmed the band appeared on stage dressed in their signature all white attire, displaying their rainbow themed instruments, and the fans immediately lost control. The vibe amongst the venue was very much a happy family as fans put their arms around the strangers next to them, and swayed back and forth singing the lyrics to each other. During their one hour set they performed several fan favorites including “ Mountain Heart,” “Black Slug,” “Now’s the Time,” and closed out the set with “Cold Sweat.” As the band finishes their final note, the crowd erupt with cheers, and band members began recording with their phones and smiling. This truly was a humbling experience for all involved, and something we will not soon forget. Although this was a very short run for the Church of the Cosmic Skull 2023 USA tour we are hopeful they will bless us with their cosmic presence again soon. The USA tour began April 1, 2023 in New York, and will hit several major cities such has Atlanta, New Orleans, and Columbus before finishing up April 14th in Boston.
