Metal band PRESIDENT just released their debut EP, King Of Terrors, on Friday. With this EP, the new group is here to tell the world who they are.
The masked UK-based band just made their musical debut earlier this year, and it was explosive from the start. Just one month after their first two singles, “In the Name of the Father” and “Fearless,” were released, they made their live debut at Download Festival. In addition to performing these two singles, they added three unreleased songs to the setlist: “Dionysus,” “RAGE,” and “Destroy Me.” Fans were pleased to find out that these songs are featured on the EP.
Sharing the same management company as Sleep Token, listeners definitely noticed the similarities. The electronic-infused metal project blends multiple genres and singing styles across the six tracks. “RAGE” seems to be the center track, while all the others flow alongside it. The louder songs, like “In the Name of the Father” and “Fearless,” complement it well musically. “Dionysus” is probably lyrically the heaviest song on the EP, giving fans a look into the rawness of PRESIDENT and letting them feel more connected to the band than before.
The EP’s title is a biblical reference to Job 18:14: “He is torn from the shelter of his tent and is marched off to the king of terrors.” It’s a nod to the death of the wicked, and how someone’s confidence is being pulled away as they are led to the haunting circumstance that is death. Both the Bible verse and the EP title serve to portray the total loss of security; home, family, wealth, and sanity.
PRESIDENT will be on the road for their sold-out debut tour, The Campaign Trail, throughout the first half of 2026.
King Of Terrors, the band’s debut EP, is out now on all streaming platforms.
