Kathy Katouzi embraces imperfections in “BLEED!”

Date:

Self-taught music producer Kathy Katouzi embraces imperfections with “BLEED!,” the newest alt-pop single in her discography. The track is an anthem for those who struggle with self-doubt and insecurities  — offering a sense of solidarity during struggles that can be isolating at times. “BLEED!” serves as a reminder that imperfections are a part of the human experience and embracing the messy moments in life allows us to find growth, beauty, and authenticity in the chaos.

The Toronto-based singer expresses these themes with receptive lines like “Maybe I’ll bleed into the fire” and “Maybe I’m scared of normalcy, is this how it’s all supposed to be?”. The message of the song is further driven home through the expertly crafted production featuring muffled yet cathartic and satisfying drum crashes and punchy electronic elements. The song seems to unravel as it reaches its conclusion, serving as a release for the emotions that come with the acceptance of the discomfort.

Katouzi continues to take us along on her journey of self-discovery through her music, and we can’t wait to hear more!
