LISA announces her debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’

Date:

LISA has officially announced her debut solo album Alter Ego, due out Feb. 28, 2025. After weeks of anticipation and cryptic teasers, the BLACKPINK star has been building excitement with a countdown timer on her website. She also unveiled the project’s striking cover art, which showcases a hooded LISA with fierce black spiky nails and a piercing gaze directed at the camera.

The latest single from ALTER EGO is “Moonlit Floor,” which interpolates the beloved classic “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None The Richer. This follows her earlier releases “New Woman,” a collaboration with Rosalía and the high-energy track “Rockstar.”

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, LISA released a three-minute trailer on her LLOUD YouTube channel. The trailer takes viewers through a series of visually stunning landscapes: from a barren black rock formation to a cyberpunk-inspired outer-space runway, an enchanted garden, a laser-lit motorcycle track and a volcanic red runway. Throughout these scenes, LISA’s eyes change colors, symbolizing transformations and potentially five different singles.

The press release explains that these five distinct settings correspond to five characters LISA embodies on the album, “each representing a unique personality.” These characters are symbolized by a five-pointed star, a key emblem throughout the album’s campaign.
