My Chemical Romance shocks fans with 2025 “Long Live” tour announcement

Date:

Less than a month after their iconic front-to-back performance ofย The Black Parade album at When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, My Chemical Romance announces a North American Tour to hit the road for the first time since 2022. Beginning in Seattle, WA on July 11th, each tour stop include a different support act including Violent Femmes (Seattle), 100 Gecs (San Francisco), Wallows (Los Angeles), Garbage (Arlington), Death Cab For Cutie (East Rutherford), Alice Cooper (Philadelphia), Pixies (Toronto), Devo (Chicago), Idles (Boston), and Evanescence (Tampa).

Speculation of the tour came just a day prior, when the band’s social media displayed a post of cryptic red lettering, with the caption, “If you could be anything, what would you be?”

When announcing the tour, MCR says, “It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about “THE CONCRETE AGEโ€; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG. His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve. And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator’s National Band… The Black Parade. Long Live Draag.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday, November 15th at 10am local time. Links in bio. All ticket information can be found at mychemicalromance.com/tour.
