Frank Turner Announces Attempt to Play the Most Shows in 24 Hours

How many gigs can you do in 24 hours? Frank Turner is planning to do 15, beating Hunter Hayes’ previous world record of 10.

All of the proceeds for the “tour” will go to the Music Venue Trust in the UK. Frank took to Instagram to announce the endeavor: “My tenth album, Undefeated, is out May 3rd. To celebrate this, I’ve decided to attempt a World Record – to play the most number of shows in different cities in a 24 hour period. You read every part of that sentence correctly – including the bit where it was my idea, god damnit.

So it is that from 12.30pm on Saturday, May 4th, through til 12.30pm on Sunday, May 5th, I will be playing as many shows as I can. We have 15 cities on deck. I’m proud to say that every show on the schedule is being organised by an independent record store. Two of them are instore shows; all the rest are taking place in grassroots music venues, in association with my friends and allies at the @musicvenuetrust. They will be solo shows, and they will each last a minimum of 20 minutes. Transport between shows is being provided by the excellent people at @freenow.official. I will be drinking an insane amount of coffee.

Most of the events sold out within a matter of minutes, but you can still get tickets to his 4am show at the Underworld in London here.

Here are the list of times for the 24 hour period:
