Date:

Montreal, known for its vibrant cultural scene and rich musical heritage, recently played host to a remarkable concert – The Last Dinner Party. Held at the MTelus, this concert offered attendees an unforgettable evening filled with soul-stirring melodies, virtuosic performances, and a sense of community that resonated long after the final notes faded into the night.

The concert kicked off with a mesmerizing performance of “Burn Alive”, setting the tone for an evening of musical excellence. Their improvisational prowess and seamless interplay captivated the audience, drawing them into a world of smooth rhythms and engaging melodies. Wearing incredible outfits reflecting the renaissance, the 5-piece band interpreted some of their greatest songs including “Sinner” and “Portrait Of A Dead Girl” as well as a captivating cover of “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak.

As the night progressed and the music filled the air, it was impossible not to be swept away by the collective energy and passion emanating from the stage. The band including Abigail Morris on vocals, Georgia Davies on bass, Aurora Nishevci on the keys with Lizzie Mayland and Emily Robertson on guitar. The British band poured their hearts and souls into their craft, their love for music palpable with every note.

But perhaps the most unforgettable moment of the night was the closeness between the band and the fans. Multiple times Abigail jumped off stage to sing her heart out with the audience on the barricade.

As the final notes of “Nothing Matters” faded away and the audience reluctantly made their way out into the night, there was a palpable sense of gratitude lingering in the air.

In the end, The Last Dinner Party was more than just a musical event; it was a testament to the power of music to inspire, uplift, and unite. It reminded us of the importance of coming together as a community to celebrate the things that truly matter – creativity, expression, and the universal language of music.
