Wodan Boys run away from the noise in their head in “Bells”

Date:

Indie rock band Wodan Boys has just released their latest single “Bells,” an exhilarating escape from the voices in our heads.

“Bells” is a straightforward rock track, with melodic twists and turns that keep the listener on their toes. The rowdy guitars and chaotic drums go in different directions at times, which gives it an almost haunting sound and carries the theme of the song perfectly. The vocals are also shifting constantly, from operatic melodies to chanting harmonies. The sound is reminiscent of early indie rock of the noughties, which blends in well with the sense of unease the track wants to convey. The final product is as catchy as it is effective in evoking emotions.

The lyrics feel like a personal rant; the narrator describes the feeling of being trapped in a very personal way. It’s so candid and descriptive that it not only becomes relatable, but gets quickly stuck in your head.
